Home¶

Introduction¶

Home serves as the landing page when you log in to the CIS SecureSuite Platform. It provides performance data on Benchmarks and Controls assessments as well as information specific to the user.

Benchmarks data and information appears at the top-half of the page. Controls data and information appears below the Benchmarks section.

This guide explains how to use the two main sections on the Home page:

Collapse Benchmarks or Controls

If you are using the CIS SecureSuite Platform for just the Benchmarks or Controls, you can collapse either section to focus on relevant data.

Benchmarks¶

The Benchmarks section provides a snapshot of your target systems' performance in configuration assessments.

To the left is the Benchmark Conformance Scores line graph to track performance trends over time. To the right is a Target System donut chart to show how many target systems scored above your goal score.

Benchmarks Conformance Scores¶

View average Benchmark assessment scores across different periods of time. Use this chart to track trends in your compliance with the CIS Benchmarks.

Filter the scores shown on the chart by Benchmark or time period.

Go to Benchmarks Console

Drill Down¶

Drill down all the way to an individual result.

1. Go to Home.
2. In Benchmark Conformance Scores, select a data point to drill down to additional details of the assessment results.

Go to Benchmarks Console¶

1. Go to Home.
2. Select the View Details icon to go to the Benchmarks Console.

Target Systems¶

View how many target systems exceed or fail to reach the goal score for a Benchmark, version, and profile.

How are Benchmark assessment scores calculated?

Benchmark assessment scores are calculated as follows: Count of Pass Results / Count of Recommendations Assessed. Excepted Recommendations are excluded from the calculation.

Select Benchmark¶

Select a Benchmark to display on the chart.

1. Go to Home.
2. Under Target Systems, select the Select a Benchmark icon .
3. Select the Benchmark, version, and profile.

The Select Benchmark window with all of the dropdown fields filled.

4. Select Save to display the selection on the chart.

Note

Only the latest imported configuration results for each target system for the selected Benchmark are used for the goal score.

Change Goal Score¶

1. Go to Home.
2. Under Target Systems, move the Goal Score slider left to increase or right to decrease the goal score.

Controls¶

The Controls section provides an overview of average Control scores by assessment and shows your outstanding tasks.

To the left is the Implementation Average bar chart to view each Control's average score by assessment. To the right is an interactive list of your tasks.

Implementation Average¶

View each Control's average score by assessment in a bar or radar chart. If you have connected the CIS SecureSuite Platform to the Industry Average Service, the industry average score by Control is shown as well.

Tip

Filter the results shown on the chart by assessment.

Bar Chart¶

View the implementation average data in bar chart form.

Select the Bar Chart icon to switch to the bar chart.

Radar Chart¶

View the implementation average data in radar chart form.

Select the Radar Chart icon to switch to the radar chart.

Tasks¶

See the Controls tasks assigned to you, their associated organization, assessment, and due date.

1. Go to Home.
2. Under Tasks, Select a task to go to the applicable Safeguard View.

Go to Controls Console¶

1. Go to Home.
2. Under Controls, select the View Details icon to go to the Controls Console.
